Nafplio, Peloponnese, Greece

A great place for a weekend getaway only two hours away from Athens is Nafplio.

The first capital of Greece is one of the most beautiful cities of the country.

The old town is amazing to wonder with great choices for coffee and food.

The Palamidi castle is glorious on the top of the hill -you can climb the 999 steps to the tops (totally worth it if it is not a very hot day- and also a walk around Arvanitia is full of amazing scenery and views of the sea.

Don't forget to visit the sleeping lion statue sculpted on a hill in the other side of town.

Since in Nafplio you will go everywhere on foot pack mostly flat shoes and comfortable clothes!

Summer Sales! It is again this time of the year!

And of course all shops (online and physical ones) have the best prices!

This year the items that I purchaed where not what I had in mind in the beginning of my search for offers. I have found amazing prices for transitional items that will be with me

for the next season. So, I have been shopping for Fall!

Christmas is only 2 weeks away and I started preparing as of November

for my Xmas shopping.

Oh, June always makes me think of beaches and vacation and summer by the sea.

But of course I am mostly stuck in the city...

Also summer Pre-sales offers start.

A tip I use during the summer Sales (and Pre-sales also): I buy "wintery" pieces,

that I can find in most stores,

in the summer sales that their prices are so low -since these items are out of season-

and I start to build my autumn wardrobe at the lowest prices!

Like this dark grey sweater and the long sleeve white see-through blouse

(that can also be worn on a colder summer night),

both from Pull&Bear.

Also, during last month I invested in basic pieces that I am always

in need (grey and white t-shirt and red tank top -all from Zara).

And I could not leave this amazing small grey bag and not take her home with me

-from Zara also.

On July the summer Sales start so next month the post will be bigger....

Pffff.... I cannot control myself.....

Last Sunday I visited this super amazing cafe place in Pagkrati , the Superfly cafe, that was definately more like an experience than a Sunday's walk.

A place that looked like a time machine sending you back to your childhood.

A place decorated by original 80s items and board games and magazines and sofas and tables made from school desks and chairs. And all furniture looked like they were brought there directly from our childhood photos from our 80s kitchen and living room.

I played a Monopoly game with a board of an edition so old that it was like the ones that I remember me playing as a child and also had notes underneath the board from its previous owner, a boy probably of 8-10 years old, drawing his then neighborhood!!!
